Somehow, All Of A Sudden

In everything that we do, have done and have grown from, there will always come a time wherein we pause and feel that time is running things fast for us. We look afar and reminisce. Sometimes the mind needs to get blank to be able to fill in countless memories of the past. Laughters of children seem to play in your head and realize those were actually you and friends dallying around. Innocent to what the future would bring forth. Now you think, where are most of them? How are they? How in the world that only few stayed and are still there for you. If you could only gather all people you cherish in the palm of your hands, and tell them to stay, but you can't. You have to let go, may it be distance or the flight of  souls from bodies of your dearly beloved ones. Somehow, all of a sudden I miss my childhood, and the place I came from before I traveled the horizon and held my present life in a place I could call my home. It makes you happy but a portion of your heart makes you wail, longing for the bits and pieces you already couldn't grasp for the moment or evermore. Somehow, all of a sudden.

Brandon's Mum And Dad

A video I made to give my support as a big fan for 1800MUMDAD Reverse Charge Calls Service, Australia. Initially uploaded in YouTube (click to see the larger version). Also comment so I know what to improve on my video editing and what movie maker would you recommend for me, here I used Sony Vegas Pro 9. Better tools would be of great help. I will appreciate anything you would say, good and bad. Thanks!

No Man Is An Island

Of all the Australian services I know, today I thought of writing about  my solo escapade and 1800MumDad that practically saved me from sleeping on the streets. It was last December of 2009 before Christmas when I went strolling around alone wanting seclusion and have some peaceful ambiance to think and reminisce. Since I am from Gold Coast, I went to Couran Cove Island Resort, which really is a fantastic place. With all the excitement, photograph taking and lots of going from here and there, my mini bag inside my backpack where I put my wallet and mobile phone got lost... It was surely a mood saboteur, yet here comes my hero I have in my head, the 1800MumDad! Borrowed a stranger's phone and called home for them to pick me up. I don't need a dollar to owe someone for it was a reverse charge call. It was a blessing in disguise because now that stranger is already a very very good friend of mine. Cheers to you! You know yourself once you read this! Funny! Such a kind bloke! At the end of it all, I realized that really we can rely on other people despite some desire to have our own silent space from time to time. A stranger becoming a friend, people behind wonderful Couran Cove Island Resort and a bonzer service like 1800MumDad and of course our loved ones who are always there whenever we need them or not! I love you guys! Ta muchly!

AUSTRALIA

I am Brandon Thomas Maslov, my father is Russian and mother is English. Moved to Australia when I was eleven and fell in love the moment I set foot here and felt the Australian spirit. Life here has given me so much breathtaking moments to cherish and share where ever I may go. In this blog, I would be writing about things that made my Australian life astounding. Australia, a place to be!
